Truthfully, I write a lot. My contemporary fiction is written with a small-town vibe. My quest is for the reader to see in my characters their next-door neighbor, their co-worker or their cousin, twice-removed. When that happens, the reader becomes part of the landscape and connects with the narrative.
Also in the works is a mystery series

Also in the works is a mystery series about a globetrotting, retired history teacher and I have a Young Adult novel with a Bobbsey Twins-feel for today's young readers almost ready for print.
One of my day jobs is as a contributing writer for The St. Tammany Farmer/www.nola.com, our local newspaper.
I’ve been putting words to paper, and now into computer files, for more than 40 years. At the start of my career, my work helped take scientific discoveries out of the lab and into discussions around the dinner table.

I’ve been putting words to paper, and now into computer files, for more than 40 years. At the start of my career, my work helped take scientific discoveries out of the lab and into discussions around the dinner table.
Later, as a columnist and reporter for a metropolitan daily newspaper, I got to tell the stories of the best, the brightest and the most beloved people in my community.
Now I am making time to write books about tenacious women meeting life-changing challenges in small towns with heart.
I enjoy connecting with my readers, either in person or via email. If you have a question or comment, please drop me a line with the link below. No postage necessary.
